They changed the story and from the episode 40 - 41 trailer, it looks like she is made to be more passive (did not happen in the novel) and weakened (which happened in the novel) and it looks like it is more uncontrollable passive than uncontrollable non consent aggressive moment

I knew this would be epic, that's why I even waited as long as I could to not watch this since I knew I'd have to wait even longer after finishing this episode smh. But I couldn't wait any longer and just finished, I'm both ecstatic and sad, 6 more days until we see the beautiful fierce snake goddess Medusa in her glory aha.

Well you know considering its a Chinese show and their censorship is far worse then anywhere in the world especially these type shows . I would not even be surprised if they entirely removed that part of the novel from the donghua. They have removed large parts of novels in other donghua almost to the point of ruining continuity and making the story fragmented . Therefore it is no surprise they messed with that scene coming up. I am a avid reader of many wuxia novels and I have read this one also. I know it sorta stinks that many dongua watchers do not know the real story because its been twisted too much to fit into censorship. Why I wish that they would have like the Japanese do when they release them on media and have uncensored extended versions. Unfortunately they never get enough funding for anything like that . Why almost all dongua are 5 to 10 mins long only the hugely popular novel that usually have had tv drama series have gotten full length dongua.
